Based on Tatiana de Rosnay’s New York Times best seller, SARAH’S KEY is the story of an American journalist in Paris, Julia Jarmond (Kristin Scott Thomas), whose research for an article about the Vel’ d’Hiv Roundup in 1942 in France ends up turning her own world upside down. As she learns the story of Sarah, the adversity the young girl faced and her bravery inspires Julia to keep moving forward. Who in your life had inspired you and given you hope?

my mother & Anne Frank
Anne Frank inspires me because her story tells us what things like rascism annd extremism can lead to and that we should never allow that to happen again and that you can always see the best in the world even at the worst of times.

My son
He overcame dyslexia and was an excellent student graduating from high school and college with hinors. When he could have chosen a career that paid well, etc., he took the path less traveled and became a Lutheran pastor. And he is an awesome husband and father. His compassion and love and faith inspires me to be a better person.

Mother
Doris Eleanor Thomas was born 101 years ago on June 13, 2010. She died when I was 15. In that short time I grew up learning to dance in our tiny living room, playing board games together with my little sister and Mom on the card table, driving countless times from California to Washington to see her father and sisters and stay with their families. We drove cross country twice to Ontario, Canada, the second time seeing the 48 continental United States. I kept a journal that I had published in her centennial birth year and planned a family reunion that 40 attended. Mother lived more in her 51 years that many people live in twice that time. She wrote music and stories, made a record, sang, whistled, played sax and drums, had her own band at 16, danced, rode horses, was a saleswoman, raised six children, swam with us, played ball with us. She was a legend in her own time.

My Grandfather
He was a great man who always fought with passion for what he believed was right. His work in the civil rights movement in North Carolina will hopefully never be forgotten.
